INTRODUCTION TO ENCAUSTIC

This three day workshop will cover all the basics, but the emphasis will be on enabling you to use encaustic to help achieve your personal artistic vision, along with learning how to make paint, about supports, and techniques: paint application, fusing, glazing inscribing and mixed media approaches, we will emphasize how these techniques can be developed to create a unique encaustic language for each student.
A $60. materials fee covers all supplies and is
payable on the first day of class.

- Koment has been exhibiting her encaustic paintings nationally for over twenty years. She is a graduate of The Cooper Union Art School in NYC, and has a Masters degree in painting from UC Berkeley. She has been teaching encaustic for more than twenty years. She is a recipient of the 2018 Gottlieb Foundation Artist Grant.
